Manushi Chhillar an Indian model and a beauty pageant crowned Miss World 2017. She has made proud all the Indians with her glorious performance in the grand ceremony, in China. The interesting thing to know about her is that she is working on “Project Shakti” campaign, to make women and girls and whole female generation aware of menstrual hygiene.
She has already visited about 20 villagers for this project and aware around 5000 women.
Everyone knows Harayana, where there is the worst sex ratio among the states in the country, has seen such proud moments as young women from sports, technology, and beauty making it rank the international platform. Manushi Chillar is the sixth woman to win Miss World and India got this award after 17 years.
Chhillar belongs to Haryana. With a well-educated family, Manushi is pursuing a medical degree in Sonipat and the whole her father, is a scientist and mother, is an associate professor. Manushi is a Kuchipudi dancer.
She wants to become a cardiac surgeon and wants a chain of non-profitable hospitals based in rural areas.
On 25th June 2017, Manushi took part in the Femina Miss India competition and is representing Haryana. During her whole journey of this competition, she was confident and knows her goal. She was crowned Miss Photogenic. And then she didn’t look back and give her best foot forward to represent India in the Miss World 2017.

She has given the perfect answer in her round, as Chhillar was asked which profession according to her deserved the
highest salary. And see how perfectly she answered:
“I think a mother deserves the highest respect and when you talk about salary it’s not always about cash but I feel it’s
the love and respect that you give to someone. My mother has always been the biggest inspiration in my life.
“All mothers sacrifice so much for their kids. So, I think it is the job of a mother that deserves the highest salary,”
Chhillar said to a wide-applause.
Manushi became the sixth woman to win the Miss World from India, which was first won by Reita Faria in 1966. To move on, Aishwarya Rai won this title in 1994, followed by Diana Haydon in 1997 then Yukta Mookhey in 1999 and the gorgeous Priyanka Chopra in 2000.
Manushi Chillar again brings this title to India after 17 years. Everyone is congratulating her on her grand success. It is so commanding for winning the title of “Miss Fresher”‘ in her college days. Till her journey to win Miss World title. She defeated 108 contestants to get this title.
